Your guide to experiencing the Tamar Valley

Wine lover, outdoor explorer or travelling with the whole family, you will find something to enjoy in the Tamar Valley.
Close encounters with local wildlife

There are many ways to experience Tasmanian wildlife in the Tamar Valley. To meet and learn about the ever-intriguing Tasmanian Platypus and Echidnas, head to Platypus House. Just next door you can dive into Seahorse World and visit one of very few seahorse farms in the world. A little closer to Launceston you can visit the Tasmania Zoo which is home to the largest collection of native and exotic wildlife in Tasmania.
