Visit Northern Tasmania collaborates with a range of stakeholders to advance its core mission: enhancing tourism and the visitor economy in Northern Tasmania. Our partnership marketing initiatives focus on creating mutually beneficial relationships that align with our brand values. Key activities include leveraging major events to attract visitors, collaborating with Tourism Tasmania to ensure our region maintains share of voice in state level marketing efforts, engaging access partners, and forming content partnerships with several major annual events. Additionally, we work closely with media outlets and support the development of tailored itineraries for influencers, filmmakers, and other media professionals.

Social Media

Visit Northern Tasmania is active on Instagram and Facebook. Our social media strategy is to build brand awareness, evoke curiosity, and capture the attention of travellers compelling them to make Northern Tasmania their destination of choice. To deliver on this strategy we incorporate user generated content (UGC) as often as possible for our social posts building trust, and let's face it there are plenty of perfect photo opportunities in Northern Tasmania! We align with trending content themes and schedule our posts to maintain equal representation across a 12-month period for our 7 council regions.

What is a playbook? Our partner playbook is a practical guide that outlines the opportunities available to plug into ‘how we play’ as a region. It explains how to tap in to and align your messaging to Visit Northern Tasmania’s brand positioning. There are a number features and tips for engagement that you will find useful e.g. What hashtags can you use?

Tourism Tasmania - Marketing Campaigns

Tourism Tasmania undertakes major marketing campaigns in key target markets, ensuring a presence in-market all year round. Tourism Tasmania also works with Tourism Australia to ensure Tasmania is well represented in its international marketing effort.

Tasmania - Come Down For Air is the over-arching brand platform that underpins Tourism Tasmania’s destination marketing.

The Off Season - 'become a winter person' is an annual campaign with the aim to position Tasmania as a must-visit winter destination, focused on driving visitation during the traditionally quieter travel period between May and August.
