Zero Waste Events Tasmania Toolkit

ABOUT ZERO WASTE EVENTS TASMANIA (ZWET)
The ZWET Program is a comprehensive initiative designed to promote and accelerate the adoption of sustainable waste practices among event organisers and attendees.

COLLABORATION
The ZWET project led by Visit Northern Tasmania in partnership with RM Consulting Group and supported by the Tasmanian Government through Events Tasmania. This program aims to bring about positive change in waste behaviours.

TOOLKIT
Recognising a need for guidance, strategies, and shared resources for event waste management and litter prevention in Tasmania, the Zero Waste Events Toolkit has been developed. These assets and tools have been designed based on feedback and input from the events sector and are now readily available for events in Tasmania to utilise.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY
Tasmania is Aboriginal land. We acknowledge the palawa and pakana, the Tasmanian Aboriginal people, as the Traditional Owners and continuing custodians of the lands, seas and waterways of lutruwita, Tasmania on which this project has been conducted. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture and pay our respects to their Elders past and present, and we acknowledge emerging leaders. Moreover, we express gratitude for the knowledge and insight that Traditional Owners and other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people contribute to our shared work in Australia.
