Brickendon Estate

Stay at Brickendon Estate, Australia's only privately owned World Heritage-listed convict site, and experience life on a working farm that has been continuously operated for over 200 years.

A collection of self-contained historic and farm cottages offers guests a choice between traditional colonial accommodation and relaxed countryside stays. The Coachman's, Gardener's and Old Farm cottages sit within established gardens and feature original character details alongside modern comforts, including open fires, deep baths and heated bathroom floors.

Pumpkin, Sweetcorn and Pea in a Pod are farm cottages set among open paddocks, built from recycled materials and designed for a more casual farm stay experience, with wood heaters keeping them warm through Tasmania's cooler months.

All cottages are fully self-contained with kitchen facilities, quality linen, electric heating and electric blankets. Hearty continental breakfast provisions are included.

A stay at Brickendon is more than accommodation. Guests can explore the 1820s convict-built farm village, wander heritage gardens, join daily animal feeding, and walk the river track to neighbouring Woolmers Estate.

Located 20 minutes from Launceston and 15 minutes from Launceston Airport, Brickendon is dog-friendly, with selected cottages welcoming pets by arrangement.
