Low Head Tourist Park is located in Northern Tasmania, approximately a 40-minute drive from Launceston (51 km) via the East Tamar Highway.
The 12 large self-contained cottages are ideal for two to six people. Each cottage is appointed with queen-size beds with electric blankets, heating, air conditioning, a large bathroom, well-equipped kitchen and a balcony to enjoy the breathtaking water views of the Tamar River.
The 6 economy cabins are ideal for the budget traveller and can accommodate from two to five people (2 adults and up to 3 children) with double beds, electric blankets and also heating, air conditioning, cooking and bathroom facilities.
Low Head Tourist Park also has powered, unpowered and ensuite sites, a clean and modern amenities block with disabled facilities, free barbecues, camp kitchen and laundry. The park is just minutes from a wide variety of attractions. Wander the beaches, book a nightly penguin tour, visit the Low Head Lighthouse and Foghorn, the Maritime Museum, Watch House Museum and Bass and Flinders Centre. Go for a drive and explore the Tamar Valley Wine Route, pick organically grown berries at Hillwood Berry Farm or visit Beaconsfield Mine Museum, Seahorse World and Platypus House at Beauty Point.
