Although Evandale is just a short ten-minute drive from Launceston and a five-minute drive from the airport, you could be forgiven for thinking that you were a world away from the 'hustle and bustle' and have been transported back to a more relaxed time.
Many people stay at Arendon Cottage for the convenience of being close to Launceston, the regional centre for Northern Tasmania. Within easy walking distance of coffee shops, bakery, pubs and all manner of village stores and galleries.
If you visit on a Sunday a short stroll to the end of the street you will be delighted to find the Evandale village market; one of the best in the state.
