The Holy Trinity building is one of the architectural gems of Launceston and an integral part of the history, culture and heritage of the city. The first church building on this site was built in 1842 and was designed by the former convict architect, James Blackburn. The present church building was designed by Alexander North and was opened in 1902, replacing the earlier building which had become unsafe.
This lovely building is a living part of Launceston's continuing heritage as well as a living, vibrant, Christian community. The building is open 10am to 1pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. The best time to enjoy the full glory of the building and the music of the organ is at the 9:30 Sunday morning service.
