The Tamar Visitor Centre is located in the town of Exeter in northern Tasmania.
As a member of the accredited Tasmanian Visitor Information Network located around the state, the Tamar Visitor Centre is open from 9.00am - 4.00pm seven days a week and has skilled, knowledgeable staff and volunteers who can provide expert local and state wide travel information. The team can also organise your bookings and reservations and give advice on what to see and do and where to eat.
The Tamar Valley region highlights include the Tamar Valley Wine Route, that guides you to cellar doors and vineyard restaurants; Narawntapu National Park, with its beach walks and wildlife; Grubb Shaft Gold and Heritage Museum at nearby Beaconsfield; Seahorse World and Platypus House at Beauty Point and many more attractions.
The Tamar Visitor Centre has a large range of souvenirs and gifts to suit all tastes and budgets.
