Cruise the Coast Tour

Pack your beach kit and head North to the seaside village of Bridport, a scenic one hour drive from Launceston. Choose to stop along the way at the grape growers and vineyard cellar doors as you pass through the renowned Tamar Valley Wine Route
Enroute to Bridport there is also the option to call in to the fellow beachside townships of Weymouth, Tam O'Shanter and Lulworth on the way.
Bridport is a summer hot spot for locals due to it's gorgeous array of coves and long stretches of safe swimming beaches perfect for a dip or a spot of fishing. Stretch your legs on the Bridport Walking Track circuit or venture to Old Pier Beach a central meeting point within the town. Dotted along the main road are a variety of quirky cafes and eateries that are an excellent choice for a coffee stop. We suggest The Bunker or The Bridport Café.
From Bridport, venture 10 minutes along the road to the golfing mecca of Barnbougle Dunes and Barnbougle Lost Farm. Treat yourself to 18 holes on either of the world renowned courses, unwind at the day spa overlooking pristine Anderson Bay, but whatever you do don't miss out on lunch in the Lost Farm restaurant, the view is of the next level and the food is also superb.

Afternoon

Further north lies the Waterhouse Conservation Area, a pristine and remote location that's home to three major and permanent deep water lagoons. It's a popular spot for camping, wildlife viewing, kayaking, diving, and fishing.
Hug the coastline and the next point you'll come across is Tomahawk, a seaside town with a boat ramp, caravan park, and excellent fishing. Absorb beautiful stretches of beaches with an abundance of places to unwind and relax.
The far North East is a whimsical part of Tasmania rich with activities. South Mount Cameron is worth travelling inland for a moment as it is here you will discover Little Blue Lake. Mining history aside, the sunlight reflecting off the minerals results in a vivid aqua lake unlike anywhere else.
An array of options are on offer from Little Blue Lake. Retreat to Launceston or continue through to Pioneer and across to Bay of Fires and St Helens area to continue your coastline adventures. Within the far North East Musselroe Bay, Ansons Bay and Eddystone Point are off the beaten path beachside areas to explore.
