WCF PFC Mallets Golf Croquet World Team Championships

The Northern Tasmanian Croquet Centre host the most prestigious croquet event ever held in Tasmania.

The GC World Team Championship, held every four years, attracts top players from around the world who represent their countries.

Croquet Tasmania will host Tier One of the championship from February 17th to 23rd February. Teams from Australia, Egypt, England, South Africa, Ireland, USA, New Zealand and Spain will compete for the Openshaw Shield.

The Openshaw Shield is named after David Openshaw, a former president of the World Croquet Federation (2004-2009). David has a distinguished playing career of over 20 years.

Some of the great Australian Croquet players include Robert Fletcher who will captain the Australian side.
