George Town Council in Northern Tasmania presents the Intergenerational Circus Workshops in partnership with ROOKE, offering a unique chance for people of all ages to learn circus skills side by side. Guided by world-class performers, these fun and physical sessions invite adults and children (5+) to explore juggling, balance, and movement together in a safe, supportive, and playful environment. What sets these workshops apart is their emphasis on connection across generations.
Families, grandparents with grandchildren, and community members can discover new skills while sharing laughter and creativity. ROOKE's experienced facilitators bring both professional expertise and a passion for making circus accessible to everyone, no matter their background or level of ability.
Located at the Graham Fairless Centre, participants can enjoy the nearby attractions of George Town, including the Bass and Flinders Maritime Museum, scenic walking trails, and the Kanamaluka/Tamar River. George Town's rich cultural heritage and welcoming community atmosphere make it an ideal setting for these creative encounters.
Bookings are encouraged to secure a place at this special workshop series that celebrates creativity, connection, and fun.
