Harp, Heart and a Little Bit of Magic - Live at the FAEC
Something a little special is coming to Flinders!
On Saturday 2 May, innovative Tasmanian artist Emily Sanzaro will take the stage at the Flinders Arts & Entertainment Centre for a one-night-only performance - all in support of the Patriarchs Wildlife Sanctuary.
If you think you know what a harp sounds like, think again.
Emily is not your traditional harpist. Using a loopstation, she layers harp, vocals, and percussion to create a rich, multi-dimensional sound that feels more like a full band than a solo performer. It is immersive, experimental and completely captivating.
Her work moves across genres with ease. From original contemporary compositions featured in her debut album AWAKEN and MONA residencies, through to haunting, cinematic soundscapes shaped by her work as a therapeutic harpist.
Emily is also known for her reimagined covers, breathing new life into iconic 80s and 90s tracks, alongside unexpected interpretations of artists like Radiohead and even Metallica. Familiar songs take on an entirely different mood through the harp.
