Iron Pot Bay Vineyard is a family-run vineyard and cellar door in Rowella, on the western side of Tasmania's Tamar Valley, approximately 40 minutes from Launceston. First planted in 1988 and cared for by the Mani family since 2013, the 7.5-hectare vineyard grows cool-climate varieties including Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Meunier.
The cellar door is set in a century-old cottage beside the vines, designed by architect Alexander North. Visitors can enjoy guided tastings of Iron Pot Bay Vineyard and Ashli Rose Wines, including vintage sparkling, Riesling, Pinot Noir and other small-batch wines depending on current releases.
Wine is also available by the glass or bottle, and visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic to enjoy in the garden. Well-behaved dogs are welcome outside.
The relaxed cellar door experience is hosted by the family behind the vineyard, with a focus on the wines, the vineyard and the story of Rowella. The cellar door offers accessible parking, step-free entry and an accessible toilet.
