Forget sitting on the sofa for days on end scrolling through Netflix. Winter is the perfect time to get out and explore the incredible natural wonders of Northern Tasmania. Head out on a hunt to find the best ones and create memories to last a lifetime.
Here's a few of our favourites.
Meander Falls
this walk is 10km in total and will take around 3 hours (round trip). You will be rewarded throughout as you walk along the Meander River, through wet forest and eventually you'll find one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the state. Winter can also see snow and ice along the way and you might even be treated to the sight of the falls freezing and turning in large icicles.
Liffey Falls
Only 45-minutes return from the top of the carpark, Liffey Falls is perfect for all ages and fitness levels. These mesmerising, multi-level falls will wow the whole family. Walk through mossy forest and enjoy different perspectives from the various viewing platforms along the way.
Westmorland Falls
This 2-hour return walk is a true local gem. Once made famous by early editions of the Lonely Planet Guide, these falls are a real delight to anyone with a penchant for adventure.
