Woolmers Estate

Woolmers Estate is a unique and fascinating reflection of colonial life in Tasmania and is one of the most historically significant heritage properties in Australia.
A guided tour of the Woolmers Estate allows you to experience a special journey through time, from the establishment of the estate in 1817, by Thomas Archer 1st, to the last descendant, Thomas Archer 6th in 1994, and marvel at the array of personal collections and possessions accumulated through six generations of the family.

Guided Tours of the main homestead ( duration approximately 45 minutes ) start at 11.15 am, 12.30 pm & 2.00 pm. There are extra tours at 10.00 am and 3.30 pm available from October to April.

Time stands still at Woolmers Estate, wander around and soak up the essence of 19th century Tasmanian life on a once working farm estate. Explore the many convict built outbuildings that still remain on the property such as, The Wool and Apple Packing Sheds, Coach House and Farm Stables, Blacksmiths and Settlers Cottages accommodation.
