Cherry Top Accommodation and Eagle Park are our two cottages on the farm. Both cottages are fully self contained and in a rural setting. They are very well equipt for all your cooking and washing needs.
The farm is set up for couples to enjoy fresh cooked food and tranquility or families to meet the animals, 8 geese, 6 chooks visit the gardens and find out where food comes from.
There is an area out the back under the tree platform (stage) with a tight rope and sea saws and stilts its all great for getting out doors. Out the front we have a 'rustic' tennis court and lots of space for a game of cricket or ball.
Kids can help collect the eggs and feed the animals on the farm tour. Depending on time restraints and if you can be responsible for them try some of the other stuff too. Treasure trails by arrangement.
Cherry Top is the home of L.O.V.E. (Lilydale Organic Vegetable Enterprises) we grow organic fruit and veggies for a small local customer base who collect their love boxes every week.
Our farm produces Hazelnuts, Honey and Blueberries. Our two cottages keep us busy and we always try and make time to show people around our place and to take an interest in how food is grown here in Tasmania and how to live sustainable lifestyles.
We have some chooks with geese too. Also a honey house you can visit and maybe even get some honey. (Limited Supply). Hazelnuts and lots of veggies. We grow for a small local customer base who call in from time to time to see what we're growing.
Directions
We are 1 km from the Post Office. About 800m up Lalla Road. On the left. We have a big sign at the gate. On the wine route. Follow signs for Lalla Leaning Church vineyard and Providence Vineyards. Lilydale is our local village and services a wide rural community. The village has waterfalls to visit as well as the famous painted poles and a whole range of shops including antiques, blacksmith museum, chemist, IGA, post office, hairdressers and many others.
