dAda mUse

dAda mUse is a unique Launceston gallery dedicated to surrealism, home to one of Australia’s largest collections of works on paper by Salvador Dalí. Located in the city centre, it offers an unexpected cultural experience just a short walk from restaurants, hotels and the Tamar River precinct.

Set across two levels of the historic 1842 Johnstone and Wilmot building, the gallery showcases more than 200 rare and original works at any one time, with rotating exhibitions that also feature other influential surrealist and Dadaist artists.

Blending art, history and curiosity, dAda mUse is ideal for those looking to add something different to their Launceston visit—whether as a relaxed daytime activity, a cultural stop between meals, or a complement to the city’s food and wine experiences.
