Tourism-focused no-interest loan scheme
This scheme will assist Tasmanian tourism operators to rebuild and regain visitors and customers as travel returns to normal, providing an opportunity to build resilience and innovate.
Regional Hospitality Revival Fund
The Fund aims to assist hospitality businesses in regional areas, and is open to eligible hospitality businesses located outside greater Hobart and Launceston.
Hire and Drive Reimbursement Program
The program aims to encourage vehicle owners to sign-up their vehicle/s to accredited car sharing platforms, Car Next Door and Evee to assist in the increasing demand for rental vehicles.
Business Growth Loan Scheme
This scheme recognises the importance of the visitor economy to Tasmania and will particularly assist businesses in this sector to improve tourism offerings within Tasmania, to build business resilience and capacity to adapt to a significantly disrupted and uncertain business environment.
Event Ready Grant Program
Events Tasmania is offering grants of up to $5,000 to assist events to meet the additional costs associated with planning and delivering COVID-19 safe events.
NewAccess for Small Business Owners
NewAccess for Small Business Owners is a free and confidential mental health coaching program, developed by Beyond Blue to give small business owners, including sole traders the support they need.
Expanded Business Vehicle Support Package
The Tasmanian Government announced the Expanded Business Vehicle Support Package (EBVSP) to support Tasmanian businesses impacted by COVID-19 and travel restrictions. The EBVSP package aims to provide additional support to the following accredited operators: Taxi operators Luxury hire car operators Tour bus operators Hire and drive operators.
Business Vehicle Registration Relief Package
Small businesses looking to suspend activity due to the COVID-19 business downturn and trading restrictions can apply to the Registrar of Motor Vehicles to freeze their business vehicle registrations for both light and heavy vehicles.
Export Market Development Grants (EMDG)
Austrade’s Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) program helps Australian businesses grow their exports in international markets. These grants encourage small to medium enterprises to market and promote their goods and services globally.
