Northern Tasmania is committed to ensuring all of its websites are accessible to everyone.
Tourism Northern Tasmania is striving to ensure all pages on its website conform to W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.0 (Level A), WCAG 2.0 (Level AA), WCAG 2.0 (Level AAA).
Northern Tasmania has BrowseAloud available on its websites as one way of helping meeting these requirements.
BrowseAloud makes websites more accessible and reader-friendly to those who require online reading support. It works by reading web pages aloud in a natural-sounding voice. BrowseAloud can also read text published in a Portable Document Format (PDF).
BrowseAloud is free to website visitors and can be easily downloaded from the BrowseAloud website. If you have difficulty reading parts of the website with BrowseAloud, please turn hover highlighting on (through the BrowseAloud toolbar).
A text description has been added to each meaningful image on Northern Tasmania.
